Augury Rock = monk circus ?
So I'm new to the game and my character has just arrived in Augury Rock yesterday.
And I noticed this funny thing : on the radar, an incessant deluge of light blue dots moving to the Prophet's Path exit !
Upon closer inspection I found they were 95% of the time monks.
Now seriously, this was a continuous stream of monks, monks monks monks monks monks monks monks monks monks monks monks monks monks monks monks monks monks monks monks , NON STOP. And this happens everytime I go there (on Europe).
So I was just curious, what on earth are these monks doing ? Soloing ? Farming ?

If you'd been there before the AoE change it used to be crazy compared to these days.
A constant mass monk trail.

I think many are bots.
I've looked closer today,
if you stand near the stairs and look from far up you can see they are totally hugging the wall from the main place, then changing angle exactly at the end of the wall in a straight line towards the nearest spot on the stairs, then at that exact spot, again they change angle and go in a straight line to the exit. Then you can see plainly that many other monks do the exact same route. In comparison some human players who hug the wall to save time, dont turn so rapidly and not always at the same moment/spot.
Also I've noticed right outside Augury there is one monster alone, which could be an easy target for a simple scripted bot, kill, restart from Augury, kill , etc.
EDIT: wow I feel so silly now, it's just so plain. Funny to see how long they take before coming back in Augury and re-running again, about 2 mins. They;re slow ! :P

That's not what's worth farming. With a 55hp build, you can easily farm all the griffons and minotaurs. You'd get almost nothing from repeatedly killing a single devourer.

I'd say a lot of them are bots. As I been there farming myself and seen the same people farming what seems to be 24/7. Since Griffion farming is one of the most boring things in the game it would be impossible for any normal person to farm them for more then an hour at a time lol

Anyone farming them damn wing Lions for more then a hour in the desert must think killing the same old monsters over and over again is fun, or they have nothing better to do with themselves.

I can sure understand why it seems that way. But, for me, there's something relaxing about it precisely because it is mindless ... same with farming the hydras. I'm not saying that I often spend that long doing it, but there have been times when it was just the right thing.

150-200 runs to gain one level in the long stretch from 92-99 - assuming no deaths

D2 was grind.
D2 was item driven combat.
D2 was imbalance.
D2 was horrid PvP.
D2 was PK central.
D2 was hacker/duper paradise.
It is not even in the same league as GW.

Isn't bots against GW rules? How come A.Net hasn't caught them?
